It all started with Constable Marc Hovingh. When I heard that he was murdered I knew I had to do something for his family. He was a brother. Family helps family. I made contact with an OPP member who arranged to have some memorial ornaments sent to his family. Making these types of ornaments is difficult for me. I go through a range of emotions as I think of my fallen brothers and sisters. I sent some engraved ornaments of Marc's badge to his wife, kids and family.
The message I got from the Hovingh family brought tears to my eyes. It affirmed my belief that these ornaments help the family of fallen brothers and sisters.
